GEKKŌ BCN may modify these, as well as the conditions of use, privacy and cookies. All orders are subject to prior acceptance by GEKKŌ BCN.

GEKKŌ BCN shall communicate acceptance of the order as soon as reasonably possible, generally by electronic means, by sending a confirmation e-mail, although it may use any other appropriate means.

GEKKŌ BCN reserves the right, at its discretion, to cancel any accepted order in the event that errors are detected in the order, in the price or in any other condition related to the order.

GEKKŌ BCN reserves the right to suspend delivery of any of the products offered on its website at any time and without prior notice, for reasons of availability, seasonality, security, or due to changes in its business strategy or in its online sales service.

Prices & taxes

The prices of the items offered on the website include the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT), but exclude shipping costs, which will be added to the total amount.

At all times, we will provide clear and concise information before you finalise your order, detailing the total price of the item, what is included in that price, applicable taxes, shipping costs and any other relevant information you should be aware of.

Depending on the country of destination, additional taxes or fees may apply in accordance with the applicable regulations, and these will be reflected at the time of making and finalising the purchase.

Shopping start and user registration

Acceptance of the purchase implies that the user has read and accepted these terms and conditions, as well as any other particular conditions communicated at the time of placing the order.

The purchaser acknowledges and accepts that the purchase of any add-on available on the Website (plugs, switches, cable glands or similar) will require the simultaneous purchase of at least one lamp offered on the same page. Therefore, the purchase of accessories on the Website may not be made independently.

Only in exceptional cases at the sole discretion of GEKKO BNC, may the purchase of add-ons be considered on a stand-alone basis, without requiring the purchase of a lamp. These exceptions will apply in specific situations which should be consulted in advance with GEKKO BCN at info@gekkobcn.com.

Products stock

The stock of products is a determining factor in all orders and is subject to availability. However, in the event of any unforeseen difficulties in supply, GEKKŌ BCN will notify and refund any amount paid within a maximum period of 14 (fourteen) working days.

Discount codes

If you have discount codes, you must enter the code in the space provided when processing the order.

Offers, discount codes and coupons (hereinafter referred to as "Discounts") are valid only for the duration and under the conditions of validity of the offer. The Discounts may under no circumstances be converted into a refundable or payable amount to the customer.

Discounts may only be used by the customer concerned and are in no case transferable to third parties. They shall be deducted from the amount of the order including all taxes, excluding shipping costs. Unless otherwise stipulated in the case of a special discount offer, discounts cannot be combined with each other when placing an order.

All descriptions, product photographs, information and materials provided on this website are provided without express or implied warranties, except as provided by law.

Some products may appear slightly larger or smaller than their actual size due to screen settings and photographic techniques used. Hipping options and delivery times

The delivery of orders will be carried out through transport companies with which we have collaboration agreements. The delivery times, with few exceptions, are as follows:

  • For products in stock, the delivery time will be from 3 to 7 working days for deliveries in the Iberian Peninsula, from 7 to 14 working days for deliveries in the Balearic Islands or Canary Islands, and from 5 to 9 working days for deliveries to European Union countries or the United Kingdom.
  • For large quantities or large volume orders, the delivery time will be determined in consultation.

Generally speaking, we only ship to the countries listed in the drop-down menu on our website when you place your order. If you need to place an order outside these geographical areas, we invite you to contact us at info@gekkobcn.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

You can also request free collection of the product at our offices at: C/ SANT MEDIR, 15 - 08172 SANT CUGAT DEL VALLÈS (BARCELONA).

It is essential that you specify a precise delivery address when placing your orders. The information provided on delivery dates is for information purposes only and does not establish binding obligations for GEKKŌ BCN.

Please note that our orders are processed and managed from Monday to Friday, and no collections or deliveries are made on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. GEKKŌ BCN cannot assume responsibility if the data provided in the purchase is inaccurate or incomplete, or if it is not possible to complete the delivery due to the absence of the recipient or other circumstances beyond GEKKŌ BCN's control.

It is important to note that exceptional circumstances may arise, such as Christmas periods, transport strikes, adverse weather conditions or other similar factors, which may cause delays in shipments.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs shall be borne by the customer, unless otherwise specified when placing the order.

Detailed information on applicable shipping costs will be provided prior to confirmation of purchase.

Policies relating to shipping and delivery may be subject to change and will be reflected in this section or communicated in advance during the checkout process.

Payment methods

The permitted methods of payment are:

The purchase price will be charged to your bank account, usually immediately or within 24 hours from the day of the order and, this will be effective after confirmation of payment to our bank.

In the event that the POS (RedSys Point of Sale Terminal) informs us that the card has been refused, the order will be automatically cancelled, informing you on-line or by e-mail of this cancellation.

The bank details entered are encrypted and securely transmitted to the bank's servers and then verified with the issuing bank to prevent fraud and abuse.

Your card details are not stored by us and are protected by SSL protocols in their transmission over the internet.

By making a purchase through Bizum, the customer accepts and agrees to comply with the following conditions:

The customer must have a bank account linked to Bizum and have the necessary funds to complete the transaction.

The customer shall be responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information at the time of payment, including the mobile phone number associated with their Bizum account.

Once the Bizum payment has been made, a confirmation of the transaction will be generated. The customer will receive a confirmation notification in their Bizum application and/or by email, as appropriate.

All transactions through Bizum are subject to the security policies and terms of use of Bizum and the bank that manages it.

GEKKŌ BCN reserves the right to reject any payment via Bizum if suspicious activity is detected or verification requirements are not met.

GEKKŌ BCN does not store or have access to the customer's financial information used in the transaction.

Bank transfer:
When you select bank transfer you will receive, together with the confirmation of your order, an e-mail with GEKKŌ BCN's bank details.

It is very important that when making the transfer you indicate in the subject line the order number, as well as your name and surname, and make the transfer within the next working day after the order confirmation date in order to validate the order.

In the case of payment by bank transfer, you must ensure that you send proof of payment by e-mail within one working day of purchase, stating your personal details and order number to: info@gekkobcn.com.

Failure to receive proof of payment within this period will mean that GEKKŌ BCN will proceed to cancel the order.

Payment must be made in EUROS. All possible exchange and bank commissions will be paid by the customer.

In the case of bank transfers made from outside Spain, it is of vital importance that, when requesting the transfer, the customer informs his bank that he will assume the commissions at origin and the expenses corresponding to his bank. Otherwise, GEKKŌ BCN may withhold the shipment of the order, as it will not have received the full amount of the order.

If you select PayPal™ as payment method, the page will redirect you to its platform to complete the payment at the end of the purchase process.

If you are already a PayPal™ customer, you will be able to confirm the payment by logging into your account with your user details.

If you are not registered with PayPal™, you will simply need to complete the registration form or log in as a guest.

Only the Bank and PayPal™ have access to the bank details linked to these means of payment, so GEKKŌ BCN does not know or record these details during the payment transaction neither by POS nor by PayPal™.

Please, note that by paying with PayPal™, you accept its terms and conditions.

Payment security

The use of the electronic payment system included on our website to purchase the products offered may constitute an offence of electronic fraud in the following cases:

  • Providing false details of the purchaser or the number of the card used as a means of payment.
  • Using data belonging to persons other than the purchaser.
  • Impersonating the identity of the holder of someone else's card.
  • Using card numbers generated by computer programmes or similar algorithms.

Our website implements appropriate safeguards and uses available standard technology to enhance the security, integrity, accuracy and protection of the personal data we have collected. Withdrawal - Return of products

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. In this case you must;

  1. Contact the GEKKŌ BCN Customer Service Department at: info@gekkobcn.com.
  2. Once the return has been accepted, you will have to send us the product you wish to return.
  3. When we receive the product we will check that the conditions are fulfilled to accept the return.
  4. If the return is accepted, the refund will be made as soon as possible (once we receive the products) and, in any case, within a period not exceeding 14 days from receipt of the returned goods.

You must send the product by your own means to our facilities at C/ SANT MEDIR, 15 – 08172 SANT CUGAT DEL VALLÈS (BARCELONA).

The return costs arising from the exercise of the right of withdrawal shall be borne by the customer..

You must ensure that the product arrives well packaged and in perfect condition (preferably in the original packaging). The exchange or return is not conditional on having or not having the original packaging, but its exchange or return without the original packaging may result in a depreciation in the value of the product with respect to the price initially paid. Please, check your order as soon as you receive it and inform us of any error or damage. .

If the product shipped is in any of the above situations, we accept returns submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery of the order, provided that the above conditions are met.

The refund of the product will always be made by the same means of payment with which the product was purchased.

Defective products

We always make sure to check each product before shipping to ensure that it is in perfect condition. However, if at the time of delivery you find that the product is not in the expected condition, we ask you to contact us immediately. Please provide details of the affected product, a detailed description of the damage and explain the situation to us. If possible, please attach a photograph.

Any complaints regarding visible product defects or faults must be made within 24 hours from the date of receipt. Complaints must include the delivery note number and invoice number.

Once we receive the defective product, we will examine it thoroughly and inform you by email within a reasonable period of time whether a refund or replacement is appropriate. The refund or replacement of the item will be made as soon as possible and in any event within fourteen (14) working days from the date on which we send the email confirming approval of the refund or replacement of the non-conforming item.

In the case of products returned due to actual defects, and which are not replaced, we will fully refund all amounts paid, including shipping costs.

Indoor use only:
This product is designed for indoor use only and should not be placed outdoors.

Avoid humid environments:
For safety and durability reasons, do not install this product in damp locations or areas prone to condensation build-up.

Avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight:
Do not install this product in areas exposed to high temperatures and direct solar radiation, as this may affect the integrity of the product.

Caution with heat sources and fire:
Do not install this product in areas where there are sources of heat, fire or the possibility of sparks, as this may cause or spread fire.
Keep the product away from flammable products or other flammable materials.

Natural aging of the material:
Please note that the material of this product is composed of natural fibers, so it will experience natural aging. This may cause slight variations in the color of the product, which is a normal characteristic.

Volumetric and aesthetic changes:
Due to various environmental conditions, this product may experience volumetric changes, such as expansion and contraction of the fibers, which could generate slight aesthetic variations over time. This is part of the natural process of the material.

Recommended bulb wattage:
Bulbs with a wattage of 4 watts are recommended for optimum performance. In no case should the maximum wattage of 8 watts be exceeded, as this could compromise the safety and durability of the product.

Installing the bulb:
Turn the product off or unplug it from the outlet before installing the bulb.
Screw the bulb into the socket gently, making sure not to over tighten. The use of teardrop type bulbs is suggested.

Cleaning, maintenance and upkeep:
When cleaning the product, do so with extreme care using a feather duster or soft dust cloth. Incorrect handling during cleaning may cause damage, so gentle handling is recommended.
Do not use chemicals or liquids to clean the product, as they may damage it.
Avoid touching the product when it is switched on, as this may transmit heat.

Warranty of our products

We guarantee that our products are of high quality and are generally free from defects or faults in material or workmanship. However, they are warranted for 3 years from the date of purchase. To make the warranty effective, keep your proof of purchase and follow the conditions stipulated below.

The duration of the warranty is determined according to the specific conditions set forth herein and will be activated from the date of purchase.

What does the warranty cover?

GEKKŌ BCN will repair or replace any product for the duration of the legal warranty, in the event that the product is found to have a defect in the material or that has originated in the manufacturing process, provided that they have been subjected to normal use, following the installation, use and maintenance instructions described on the product and herein.

However, you should keep in mind that our products are manufactured with natural fibers that have a natural aging process that, over time, may slightly change the color of the product.

What is not covered by the warranty?

This warranty does not cover product damage caused by accidents, blows, misuse and abuse, modification, attempted repair, tensioning, use of inappropriate cleaning or maintenance products, negligence in use after purchase, installation outdoors or in humid areas, common wear and tear caused by daily use, errors or failures due to not following the instructions for assembly, use and maintenance of the product.

Likewise, due to the special characteristics of the product, the modifications or alterations that occur due to the different environmental conditions, volumetric changes (expansion and contraction of the fibers), as well as slight aesthetic and color variations are excluded from the warranty.

How will we proceed in case the warranty is executed?

GEKKŌ BCN will evaluate the product to determine if it is covered by the warranty. If so, GEKKŌ BCN will have the option to repair the defective product or replace it with one of the same or similar characteristics if it is not available. GEKKŌ BCN in such case, will assume the costs related to the replacement or repair of the products that are under warranty, provided that the indicated requirements are met and it has been previously authorized.

Industrial and intellectual property

The Client acknowledges and agrees that all copyrights, trademarks and other industrial and intellectual property rights on all the contents of the web page and its articles or products correspond to GEKKŌ BCN, or to those who granted GEKKŌ BCN the license for their use.

Written communications and notifications

The applicable regulations require that part of the information or communications sent by GEKKO be in writing. The Client, by using this web page, consents to the majority of such communications being made electronically.

GEKKŌ BCN will contact the Client by e-mail, instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp or by means of notices on the website itself. For contractual purposes, the Client consents to use this electronic means of communication and acknowledges compliance with the legal requirement equal to writing.

Force majeure

GEKKŌ BCN shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of any of the obligations assumed, when the same is due to events beyond its reasonable control.

It shall be understood that the obligations shall be suspended during the period in which the Force Majeure Cause continues, and having an extension in the term to fulfill such obligations for a period of time equal to the duration of the Force Majeure Cause.

Partial nullity

If any of the present clauses or provisions hereof are declared null and void by a final decision issued by a competent authority, the remaining terms and conditions shall remain in force, without being affected by such declaration of nullity.

Industrial and intellectual property

All rights over the content or design of the Web Site and, in particular, including but not limited to, all rights over the photographs, images, texts, logos, designs, trademarks, trade names, data included on the Web Site and any other intellectual and industrial property rights are owned by GEKKO.

Therefore, and by virtue of the provisions of the Intellectual Property Law, as well as Law 17/2001 on Trademarks and complementary legislation on intellectual and industrial property, the reproduction, transmission, adaptation, translation, distribution, public communication, including making available, of all or part of the contents of the website, in any format and by any technical means, is expressly prohibited, unless expressly authorized in writing by GEKKŌ BCN.

GEKKŌ BCN does not grant any license or authorization of use of any kind on its intellectual and industrial property rights or on any other property or right related to the website and its products. Under no circumstances shall it be understood that the browsing access by Users implies a waiver, transmission, licence or total or partial transfer of said rights on the part of GEKKŌ BCN.

The Client knows and accepts that this Agreement and the claims and liabilities arising from it, are subject to Spanish law. The parties submit, for the resolution of conflicts, to the courts and tribunals of the customer's domicile or those competent under the regulations in force for each case.
